Micro Macrame Wrap Bracelet Class and Kit Giveaway!
Giveaway kit for Micro Macrame Wrap Bracelet eClass by Sherri Stokey
Just in case you didn't hear me shouting it from the rooftops, I've got a new eClass available for micro macrame and I'm very excited about it! So exited, in fact, that I'm going to give away a class and a kit to go along with it to one lucky winner.
My class is called Micro Macrame Wrap Bracelet and it's available on CraftArtEdu.com. If you aren't familiar with CraftArtEdu.com, let me give you the skinny. Their goal is to make learning about your favorite medium more accessible and convenient than ever. Their classes have step-by-step instructions and are presented by world-renowned craft and fine art instructors. The classes are all the time, at your convenience. Once you purchase a class, you can view it as many times as you want, for as long as you want. AND your satisfaction is guaranteed. If you're not happy, they will refund your money. That's their promise. Sounds like a fantastic site, doesn't it! They have over 400 classes there - something for all levels and interests. I'm honestly flattered that they wanted to add my micro macrame to their curriculum.
I've got two classes available right now. The first is Micro Macrame 101 and it's free. In it, I've covered the basics about micro macrame and the tools and materials you need. The Micro Macrame Wrap class follows after that and is geared for beginners. I will teach you how to make five of the most common macrame knots, while making a fun wrap bracelet. This class is meant to get you acquainted with knotting and working with cord. The next step will be a class I hope to have available next week that will take you further into micro macrame, using finer cord and more knots.
But let's get back to the giveaway, shall we? I'm giving one lucky person access to my wrap class for free AND everything needed to make a wrap bracelet similar to this:

The kit I'm giving away includes everything in the first photo of this post. I've included 14 foot lengths of Tex 400 cord in teal and a sandy beige, wood beads, a Bollywood bead, rolled paper, seed beads, dichroic glass beads AND some artist beads. There's a great lampwork piece by Mitosis glass and a polymer class turtle bead by Ke Robinson:
Artist beads
And the toggle clasp is fun, too. It's a silver starfish toggle with crystal accents.
Starfish toggle clasp
These pieces should make a great bracelet. So how do you win? Use the rafflecopter widget below to enter. Then check back here on Thursday, July 18th to see if you won!

Welcome to the Summer Elements blog hop hosted by Toltec Jewels of Jewel School Friends.
We were invited to create and share what we love about an element of summer. It could be jewelry, beads, a recipe, a craft, holiday memories, campfire songs -- basically anything that celebrates summer.
Summer is a great time of the year when we have many family memories created during family get-togethers and outside fun! Birthday parties, graduations, weddings are all good times to see relatives that you haven't seen since the last celebration. Family is very important to me and I cherish every moment!
This necklace was created for Blu Mudd Challenge and I think it is a good representation of summer fun!

Ankle Bracelet Blog Hop Hosted by Kashmira Patel
Kashmira Patel hosted her first blog hop and I was happy to join because it was a challenge for me to create an Ankle Bracelet. I am not sure why it seemed a challenge because they are just like bracelets, other than I have never made one! I finally completed two ankle bracelets and one is a challenge within a challenge with Kashmira using silver and copper. The other one I used sterling silver and Swarovski crystals in black, silver, and clear. There is no sun today so my pictures are not the best but I have them. :)

7th Bead Soup Blog Hop Reveal!
Well I have 2 pieces photographed with my phone and they are not the best but at least I can post these.
My Bead Soup Partner is Cheryl Gangle, her is her blog,
www.RockCandyJewelryDesign.blogspot.com
And here is the Bead Soup she sent to me:
The focal and the matching beads were made by Cheryl. I love all the silver components she sent me, I have already commissioned a few of those pieces on paper so far. I also have a couple of ideas for the pendant and matching beads, probably using leather. There are also two clasps...will use both eventually but for this challenge I think I will use the round toggle one- simple but textured design.

Art Bead Love Chain
The Art Bead Love chain has lampwork, ceramic, polymer clay, metal, resin, and wood beads and pendants...all handmade! Now it is my turn to pass the chain along to the next winner! (Please read the entire post before entering!)
This post is very long so here are my pictures of the Art Bead Love Chain:
Here's the Scoop: The Art Bead Love Tour is an ongoing project to spread the love of handmade to new and exciting places. It's a way to reach people who may have never stumbled upon your blog on their own, and give them a chance to share the love of handmade. A chain was chosen to link beads as a symbol of how this project links us all together ~ in our unity to stand behind handmade.
The winner of the chain will be allowed to take up to 30 beads from this chain. They will then replace each bead they took with another handmade bead, charm or pendant of equal quality.
These are the beads that I removed from the chain:
(So remember-----You're not winning the ENTIRE CHAIN---just a chance to take some beads from it!)
It is so important that the quality of the beads be maintained, so we can keep the Art Bead Love Tour alive. We want to share consistent quality with the next winner. If you make your own handmade beads or components, it's a great way to get your beads into the world for people to try them out, or, if you hoard collect art beads it's a great way to share your collection and get some new additions as well.
These are the beads I added:
Art Beads should be handmade by an artist, and not mass produced, such as Hill Tribe Silver beads or others like them. Remember, the focus is on replacing handmade with handmade, and beads/components taken should be replaced with beads/components that are made by an individual artist - not an organization.

2. The winner will post pictures of what was taken and what was added, in order to keep an account of the chain's progress and to keep our followers drooling. Please be sure to give credit to the bead artists as well (if you know them).
3. The winner will then have a giveaway, just like this one, to keep passing the chain on and on. Rules can be copied and pasted from here.
4. When you repost your giveaway (remember you can copy and paste from here) - a list should be added to show where the chain has gone, with links to each previous blog. Ultimately, this will end up a very long list!
5. Chain must be shipped to its new home via Priority Small Flat Rate box with delivery confirmation. Please package it carefully.

12 Days of Christmas - Day 12
This has been such a fun 12 days, and everything leading up to this day. First creating something unique that each person would like and be able to use in their creations. Then the packages started arriving and I could hardly wait till Christmas to start opening them. I would love to do this again next year. Thank each and everyone of you.
The 12th day is from Inge von Roos and her blog is located here ingetraud.wordpress.com.
