This is the start of my first blog. I am new to jewelry designing, but not new to creativity. I owned a sewing business for 15 years, Sew Creative by Cheri. I was fortunate enough to be a stay at home mom, I volunteered in the schools and ran the three girls everywhere. Even though I was busy, I needed something for me to do, since I had been sewing since I was 9 years old I thought that would be a good starting point. I have several doll patterns and dolls copyrighted, I also did home interiors, sold dolls and home decor to shops, and sold at craft shows. About a year ago I decided I wanted to make some jewelry for gifts and they were very well received so I decided to start working on inventory so that I could do home shows, craft shows and eventually The Golden Globe Gift Lounge.
I have met many great designers and wonderful women over these past few months and they have been very helpful. Many thanks to Marie/Skye Jewels and Lorelei /Lorelei's Blog, both have blogs that I follow.
Welcome to the blogging world! Wow three kids is a lot of work! My Mom used to sew, I never picked it up though.... :)

ReplyDeleteYou'll get the hang of it, pretty easy once you figure it out. Wouldn't be surprised if you search youtube for a tutorial. Shoot questions if you want.
